Spherion has partnered with a leading construction equipment company based in Warsaw, Indiana, seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact in a dynamic industry.
Experience in the Construction Industry is preferred.
Hours can be flexible dependent on need.
Pay will range from $30-$35 / HR with flexibility for experience.
Responsibilities :
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Prepare and review monthly financial statements
Perform regular bank and general ledger account reconciliations
Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll records
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures
Support external auditors during annual audit
Prepare various financial reports and analyses
Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Assist with tax return preparation and filing in multiple states
Working hours : 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Skills :
Experience in construction or manufacturing industry
Knowledge of cost accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, macros)
Experience with ERP systems
Prior experience with fixed asset management
Knowledge of Indiana state tax regulations
Experience with financial statement preparation
Background in project-based accounting
Education : Bachelors
Experience : 4-7 years
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting software systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
