What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Financial Controller position at Spherion?
We are looking for a full time, direct hire, Assistant Controller in Loretto, PA to assist in the business and financial management and the administration of the accounting system and financial recordkeeping system.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and providing financial assistance for the Controller
You will :
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related, Master's Preferred
Preferably 5 years of accounting and supervisory experience
Be highly detailed and organized
Responsible for the oversight of all grant-related activity, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Controller, and the balancing of all grant accounts.
Assist the Controller with yearly financial audit. Assist with all necessary schedules and reports for NCAA reporting requirements and audit.
Have primary responsibility for the university tax returns. Form 990
Have a broad scope of accounting experience from General Ledger reconciliation to budget, petty cash, reporting, closings, and more.
Experience with student accounts or large volume accounts receivable is required
