About the Company
Our fully funded start-up company is seeking a Python Developer. This is a remote Hybrid but you must work in Sacramento, CA - 1-2 times per month. Salary Range $100-130k Per Year. Sponsorship is not offered for this role. Technical Stack is Python and Node.JS.
About the Role
Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend software solutions for the platform. Collaborate with cross-platform team members to translate ideas and goals into well-defined features and implementations. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle : requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices for software development. Develop and maintain technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders. Stay current with new software engineering techniques and emerging technologies to apply to development.
Responsibilities
Strong proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and frameworks (e.g., Node.js).
Experience in backend development and API development (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
Proficiency with modern software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Atlassian).
Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including unit testing and CI / CD.
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
Experience with FDA regulatory requirements (e.g., 510K), and data security / privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA) is strongly desired.
Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with medical image processing and algorithm development.
Ability to organize, visualize, and analyze big data to interpret and present insights.
Fundamentals of machine learning and statistical analytics.
Experience with database management and querying (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Experience in an early-stage startup.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 4 years of software engineering experience.
