Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with carriers to ensure coverage for all shipments.
- Monitor incoming orders and schedule delivery with customers via phone and email communication.
- Communicate with shippers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to execute transportation plans.
- Manage and coordinate transportation action plans and performance metrics.
- Identify potential exceptions to on-time shipments and create action plans to resolve complex issues.
- Proactively communicate resolution plans to impacted parties when shipping is disrupted.
- Utilize transportation management systems to provide optimal load solutions based on total cost-to-serve.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong administrative skills and accuracy.
- Ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to learn and navigate within several computer systems/platforms.
- Strong collaborator and communicator; ability and desire to be a team contributor.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant business/office-related experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel (knowledge of using filters, sorting functions, V-lookups).
