We are looking for a knowledgable and experienced Maintenance Engineer for our food manufacturing client in Middlesex, NC. The Maintenance Engineer assists preventative maintenance activities, helps troubleshoots processes and process equipment, and executes equipment repairs. This Maintenance Engineer role requires most of the time to be spent on the production floor meeting operations request or performing plant preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns and performs mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance whenever required.
- Respond to maintenance requests from the production team as assigned by the shift lead.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ability to read or understand basic documentation such as equipment manual, to drawings, schematics, blueprints, and P&IDs (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, etc.)
- Proficiency using digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and basic hand tools
- Ability to complete work in a cGMP compliant fashion, with all associated paperwork and environments
- Proficiency with Office 365 products, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Works with hand tools, lockout / tagout, chemicals, etc., demonstrating proper safety precautions
- Provides technical support for troubleshooting equipment problems which are beyond the Production Associate?s capability to address.
- Assist lead tech in Repairs, rebuilds, adjusts, inspects, and monitors production and / or facility related equipment and machinery.
- Performs other duties as required to meet the needs of the department and company.
Working hours : 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM (Various Shifts Available)
