Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team in Covington. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products.
Detailed Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery, unloading finish rolls from the extruder, loading the extrusion machine with spindle and core for the next roll, weighing, recording quality and production data, and performing resin checks for proper hook up.
In addition, the candidate will cut cores per traveler specifications, complete and record all quality control checks in a timely manner, maintain accurate production and quality control records, follow work instructions to ensure customer specifications are followed, assist the supervisor or lead with equipment or line adjustments, and alert them of any problems on the line.
The candidate will also package finished product per customer specifications, finish skids by banding loads to skids, and maintain an organized and clean work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
