Now hiring for Payroll Clerk. Spherion of Massachusetts currently has Payroll Clerk opportunities available to support our local, industry leading customer. Our Payroll Clerk will be working a first shift with limited required OT. The Payroll Clerk will support our customers to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining records, and supporting HR functions. Mon thru Fri. Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
Process payroll for approximately 300 employees on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Ensure accurate time tracking, overtime calculations, and deductions.
Verify employee hours, vacation, and sick time.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in status, pay rates, and benefits.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports for internal departments and external vendors.
File payroll taxes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Assist with the generation of year-end tax forms (W-2s, 1099s).
Provide support to HR in processing new hires, terminations, and benefits changes.
Collaborate with management on special payroll-related requests and projects.
Assist with accounting tasks related to payroll entries, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Working hours : 7 : 30 AM - 3 : 30 PM
