Spherion is seeking a skilled Seed Processing Operator to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our seed processing activities.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating seed conditioning equipment, accurately mixing seed treatment chemicals, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform work activities safely
- Accurately mix seed treatment chemicals to ensure proper seed coverage
- Utilize computers to record and locate information as needed
- Operate seed conditioning equipment according to instructions
- Document quality checks and activity as required
- Apply appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages as applicable
- Accurate bagged seed inventory counts
- Thoroughly clean all equipment between conditioning runs
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
Requirements:
- 1 plus years of warehouse experience with knowledge on operation of seed treating equipment preferred
- Ability to lift and stack materials up to 68 lbs. for extended periods of time
- Must be able to operate machinery
- Must be able to read/write in English
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime
