Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our medical team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. This role plays a crucial part in patient care and requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture to collect blood specimens
- Label vials accurately and maintain patient records
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Prepare samples for transport to the laboratory
Requirements
- Experience working with drug or alcohol addiction in clinics or/and hospitals
- Proficiency in medical terminology and physiology knowledge
- Experience working in a hospital or laboratory setting is preferred
- Skilled in blood sampling techniques including venipuncture
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to sample processing
- Ability to provide excellent patient care and monitor vital signs
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques for specimen collection
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: From $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
