Retail Sales Associate

We are now taking applications for a position as a Retail Sales Associate at SPI Guns in Hinesville, GA. The job will consist of selling items (mostly firearms, ammunition, and other sporting goods), making loans, wrapping boxes, taking out trash, general cleaning, and sometimes other inventory-related jobs (whatever needs doing at the time). Being able to properly fill out ATF forms and run background checks will be an important portion of the job. It can be fast-paced at times. It does involve occasionally lifting heavy objects such as large boxes. Applicant will need to be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check, since selling firearms requires someone with a clean background. Applicant will need to live reasonably close to SPI Guns (within 30 minutes). Applicant will have to have at least some basic experience using computers.

HOURS/SCHEDULE: We have 3 options as far as a schedule:

• 3 days per week (considered part time)
• 4 days per week (considered part time)
• 5 days per week (considered full time)

Regardless of the schedule you choose:

• You will be off every Sunday.
• You'll be working most Saturdays. You'll normally be off one Saturday roughly every 6 weeks after you have been with us for a few months.
• You'll get to work between 8:00AM and 8:30AM and leave sometime around 6:20PM.

PAY: You will get paid once weekly for hourly work. You will receive consistent pay and you'll know when you are getting paid every week and how much your check will be each week. We normally start new hires out at $12/hour. Here's how the pay breaks down:

• 3 days per week equals about 27 hours (About $324/week starting pay)
• 4 days per week equals about 36 hours (About $432/week starting pay)
• 5 days per week equals about 45-47 hours (About $570-$600/week starting pay)

BENEFITS:

• Retirement Account: After one year, all employees that are over 21 years old qualify for our investment retirement account program (optional).
• Bonus Program (full-time employees only): After two years of full-timework, we offer a monthly bonus program to full-time employees (in addition to weekly hourly pay).
• Vacation Time: We offer 1 week of paid vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks of paid vacation per year after 2 years, and 3 weeks of paid vacation per year after 5 years.
• Holiday Pay (full-time employees only): After 90 days of full-time work, we offer holiday pay (9 hours) for 6 holidays throughout the year (unless one of those holidays falls on a Sunday)

This job is a chance to learn a valuable trade. It is the type of job where you never know what or who will walk in the door. It is a good job for someone who likes being busy and always having something to do. It's not for everyone, but if you have the right mindset, it can be fulfilling work.

We'd also like to convey some relevant information pertaining to this job. If we hire you:

• We will run an extensive background check on you. To legally be able to sell firearms, you must be legally able to buy them. The background check can take anywhere from 24 hours to 10 days and it will have to be completed BEFORE employment begins.
• We normally don't do employee purchases. With a few exceptions, choosing to work here forfeits your right to purchase items from our store.
