Summary
Assist the fabrication team in their mission to improve quality and efficiency. The primary responsibility of this candidate will be to complete a project to analyze inventory of all fabricated finished goods. It will include validating systems and validating all raw material content. The validation will culminate in a flexible inventory model which can be scaled for high or low usage rate of fabrication materials.
Areas of focus may include but are not limited to :
- Inventory Analysis of products
- Evaluate Raw materials.
- Calculate the usage rate / consumption rate of goods
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, particularly machine efficiency and cost reductions, utilizing data-driven methods.
- Participate in cross functional targeted improvement projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, Knowledge
Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program
Graduating in Winter of 2023 or Spring of 2024
Course of study must be related to internship role
Minimum GPA of 2.75
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
Ability to respond to change in a positive manner
Ability to manage multiple projects
Strong desire to learn new skills
High degree of professionalism; inclusive and collaborative work style
It is preferred that applicants have authorization to work lawfully in the United States
Work Environment
Office and warehouse / fabrication environment
Physical demands may include but are not limited to :
Moderate walking, standing, and / or climbing; light lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
Travel
Potential travel in Texas
