Summary
Open to candidates in Ohio (preferably), Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.
The Sales Representative (Outside Sales) develops key opportunities and focuses on new and existing customers for door and window systems. This includes being responsible for the growth and retention of assigned customers as well as prospecting for new customers. Pay for this role includes salary commission , not included in the pay range provided. Salary will be based on experience.
Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Grow direct customer profitability for assigned key accounts.
- Call on all current and potential customers.
- Maintain effective work relationships within the company and with key accounts.
- Quote jobs for customers (under management guidelines) include determining the cost of material, submittals, estimating, providing material specifications, and pricing to the customer.
- Review and edit customer pricing with the intent of maximizing gross margins.
- Responsible for servicing a current customer base. List to be determined.
- Prospects include those in the PDL / Therm-All database, MBI database or lists contained in trade magazines (such as Metal Construction News). Much of the focus will be on prospecting for new customers.
- Territory will include the entire United States.
- Provide quotes based on a 24-hour turnaround.
- Must have problem solving abilities which include dealing with product failures, installation issues and customers in general. Sometimes a site visit may be required.
- Participate at Trade Shows / Industry Meetings.
- Perform presentations in front of groups. This can include product offerings / details, product applications and proper installation techniques.
- Call on architects that specialize in Metal Building applications.

Physical demands may include but are not limited to :
Moderate walking, standing, or sitting at a desk; light lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
