Overview:
At Spice Catering Co., the Operations Assistant will play a dynamic and versatile role. With no two days alike, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
The primary focus of this role is to manage event staffing and support the daily operations that make off-site catering such a rewarding challenge. You’ll coordinate Event Managers, Captains, Servers, and Bartenders to create well-balanced teams and ensure our guests experience the exceptional service Spice Catering is known for.
This position welcomes someone who would also like to work events to foster relationships with the service team they will be scheduling.
Position Details:
· Manage the daily staffing needs of events presented by our Event Curator Team through the online scheduling system, Ubeya.
o Schedule Core Service Team
o Book balanced teams with other event staff
o Respond to call-offs and requests to release a shift and replace with subs in the que.
o Request additional staff as needed from our approved staffing partners.
· Assist the Catering Director HR with seasonal recruitment and assist with all Staff Training Events.
· Assist with administrative duties such as phones, voicemail, inventory, design printing projects, etc.
· Help manage and plan employee events
· Assist CEO with emails, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed.
· Assist with purchasing, inventory, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
· Experience in hospitality, customer service or food beverage industry.
· An outgoing, warm personality that easily forms new relationships
· Highly organized and detail oriented
· Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
· Enjoys problem solving switching gears quickly.
· Understands Microsoft Office products
· Works well with technology
Bonus Skills:
