Job Summary:
Dataflix is seeking an experienced MES Systems Analyst II with a strong manufacturing IT background to support, monitor, and enhance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This role involves DevOps responsibilities, including development, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT solutions used in vehicle manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in C#/ development, SQL databases, system monitoring tools, and IT hardware setup.
Key Responsibilities:Software Development & Database Management:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy C# and applications for MES systems.
- Create and modify SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Debug source code and analyze system logs to identify and resolve system issues.
System Administration & Support:
- Configure, test, and maintain servers, workstations, VMs, mobile devices, scanners, printers, PLC interfaces, and backups.
- Utilize SNMP, WhatsUp Gold, vRealize, NQVM, VNC, and other system monitoring tools to ensure stability.
- Document system architecture for troubleshooting and cross-training.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned MES subsystems.
- Act as an escalation point for MES technicians and create System Incident Reports for production-impacting outages.
Operational & Project Support:
- Install and maintain hardware and software on the production floor and data center.
- Participate in production and project meetings to provide updates and solutions.
- Create approval documents for system changes and purchase decisions.
- Collaborate with Network, Security, Storage, Database, SAP/ERP Administrators, and Production Engineers to optimize system performance.
- Generate and implement process improvement ideas to enhance MES system stability and functionality.
On-Call & Support Requirements:
- Provide on-call support outside of regular shift based on critical production needs.
- Offer periodic weekend support as required.
- Balance 60% development & production support and 20% planning, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong C#/ development experience.
- Proficiency in SQL database development (queries, stored procedures, optimization).
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting IT hardware (servers, VMs, mobile devices, printers, PLC interfaces, etc.).
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as SNMP, WhatsUp Gold, vRealize, NQVM, and VNC.
- Ability to debug and analyze system logs for root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and MES system integration.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-paced manufacturing environment with on-call support requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and PLC interface integration.
- Exposure to DevOps practices for continuous deployment and monitoring.
