POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for a full-time, experienced CAD Technician in our Water Resources Group located in the Saginaw office. Looking for a highly motivated individual capable of working independently or on large project teams developing AutoCAD deliverables for civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will be using design and drafting standards, reference manuals, and will work as a team member preparing design documents.

Job Requirements:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs technical drafting support for assigned projects with some supervision according to established standards and procedures
- Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineer and design information (verbal instruction and notes) using CADD software programs
- Has a working knowledge of engineering technology in a specific field
- Performs work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes
- Maintains current knowledge of design and drafting procedures in specialty field
- Understands and follows the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout
- Develops, modifies, and/or reviews drawings according to established standards
- Performs quantity take-offs for cost estimate development
- Coordinates with outside utility companies and municipalities to gather required information necessary for design

EXPEREINCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required
- High school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience
- Experience as a drafter with at least 3 years of computer-aided drafting
