Description
Our Batch Cook Technicians are responsible for daily preparation and making all of our wonderful sauces from our secret recipes. Weighing, mixing and heating ingredients; maintaining codes and consumption records; testing product integrity; sanitation of all equipment; ensuring all food is segregated for allergens. Team members will multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, heating sauce in kettles then pumps over to the food manufacturing lines based on daily schedule. They must use attention to detail and utilize a general understanding of food safety guidelines to ensure a safe and quality product for our customers and their families. Additional responsibilities include:
- Responsible for outstanding customer service to all interior and exterior customers;
- Sanitation of kettles, pumps and machines after production completed for the day; set up for start of first shift success;
- Acts in a stewardship capacity for the Company, works as a functional member of the team, self-direct and self-regulate work-day;
Day shift starting 5:00 AM with 12 hour work day. Night shift starting at 5:00 PM with 12 hour work day. You must be able to work until all the sauce and sanitation is completed for the day's schedule.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 an hour
Requirements
- One year of recent cooking and mixing experience;
- Food manufacturing experience and food safety knowledge is a must.
- Extensive knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the kitchen environment, specifically, food preparation knowledge, and good math skills;
- Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines;
- Physical Requirements: must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; have the ability to bend, stoop, twist repetitively and stand on concrete for the full shift; able to work in a cold or high-heat environment as seasons change. This work is physically demanding and will require the use of some or all body parts and muscle groups, in addition require repetitive overhead lifting. Team members must have attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. Must understand English and able to communicate both verbally and written; ability to translate in Spanish is a plus.
