About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Wardrobe Assistant to join the team at Absinthe at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. It is the primary responsibility of this position to support the Wardrobe department with a variety of tasks from sewing to shopping to inventory and more. This position reports to the Resident Costume Designer & Supervisor. This is a part-time position.
What You’ll Do
- Shop for fabric, trims, and costume materials based on designer requests
- Source costume pieces, accessories, and supplies from local stores, and online vendors
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
- Maintain a record of purchases, receipts, and budget tracking
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries of costumes and materials
- Run errands as needed (fabric stores, dry cleaners, courier deliveries, etc.)
- Handle costume returns and exchanges as needed
- Perform basic machine stitching, alterations, and hand sewing
- Assist in assembling or modifying costumes under supervision
- Prep costumes for fittings (hemming, steaming, pressing, etc.)
- Handle minor distressing and finishing work on costumes
- Assist with costume fittings by dressing performers, taking notes, or making quick fixes
- Assist with costume labeling, tagging, and inventory tracking
- Maintain an organized workroom, including materials and tools
- Help with laundering, steaming, and prepping costumes for rehearsals or show
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures.
What You Bring
- 1-2 experience working in wardrobe in a theater or live entertainment setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good time management, able to juggle multiple tasks efficiently
- Willingness to take initiative and problem solve in fast paced environments
- Comfortable handling confidential costume designs and production details
- Successful background check clearance prior to hire
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/needed.
- Must have valid work authorization for the US.

- Work is performed in a high volume professional food service and theater environment.
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
- Able to lift about 30 pounds unassisted (costume bags, fabric, and wardrobe racks as needed)
