QA/QC Employee-Owners wanted! Spiezle employee owners don’t have jobs, but careers! Using your expertise, you will be an integral part of the project team ensuring that our continued commitment to high quality work is implemented across the company. The role involves a high level of collaboration among all market sectors in the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes within the firm. This role involves enhancing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that all documentation and project deliverables meet our strict in-house requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Enhance and implement our comprehensive QA/QC process for all projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes and best practices.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular reviews and audits of project deliverables to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control reviews and monitor that required document revisions are incorporated. Overall, ensuring proper documentation of all quality processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with principals, directors, project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality issues and implement solutions effectively.
- Training: Provide mentoring, training, and support to staff on QA/QC processes, tools, and techniques to continue fostering our culture of quality within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes and systems and recommend changes to enhance quality performance. Implement refinements to our QA/QC process with staff to improve outcomes and efficiencies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant codes, laws, regulations, and standards affecting the A/E/C industry and ensure the firm’s compliance.
Education, Experience, Skill sets:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience specifically in quality assurance and quality control in the architectural or A/E/C fields.
- 10 years of relevant experience required within the industry.
- Strong understanding of architectural design, design and documentation processes, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and constructively mentor staff within the firm.
