About the role
The Surgical Asset Specialist is responsible for receiving, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation returned from the field. Additional activities include inventory reconciliation, data entry, material picking, surgical set building, shipping, and other activities. This is an entry level position which requires a high school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of related experience
Essential Function
- Assembles new surgical assets as directed by management
- Receives, transacts, cleans, and sterilizes surgical assets returned from the field
- Inventories contents of surgical assets and replenishes as needed as per quality system requirements and documents results
- Inspects, lubricates, and test instruments as necessary to ensure proper functioning as per quality system requirements
- Creates necessary labeling and documentation and prepares surgical assets for shipment to customer
- Maintains training to company procedures
- Uses software and handwritten documentation to perform tasks
Experience and Education
This is an entry level position which requires a high school diploma or equivalent and up to one year of related experience
