Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic and growing orthopedic practice in Augusta. Our clinic specializes in treating patients with compensable injuries, and we are committed to hiring professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.
Duties:
- Admit patients into the Orthopedic Surgery and/or Urgent Care programs.
- Perform comprehensive history and physical exams for new and existing patients.
- Diagnose conditions and develop individualized care plans to support recovery.
- Conduct patient clinics independently and in collaboration with other providers.
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
- Prescribe medications, interventional procedures, and other treatment options as appropriate.
- Refer patients for surgical consultations and other specialty services when needed.
- Coordinate and prescribe ancillary services, such as physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, aquatic therapy, or personal training.
- Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options, care plans, and preventative health strategies.
- Provide leadership and foster cohesive teamwork among support staff, including medical assistants, front office personnel, and billing staff.
- Participate in telephone-based on-call rotations as needed.
- Travel occasionally for training

Required Qualifications:
Education: Master’s or doctoral degree program from an accredited university; exceptional new graduates will also be considered
Experience: At least one year of experience in Orthopedics or Pain Management
License/Certifications: Current APRN license in the state of Georgia; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
