Spine and Joint Centers of Missouri are growing! Our Country Club Plaza Clinic is a growing clinic with an amazing opportunity for a Medical Receptionist that has a passion for being a patient resource and being a supportive partner throughout the patient care plans.
The Medical Receptionist is a critical part of the care team at the clinic! In this role, you will have the honor of being Spine and Joint Centers of Missouri’s first impression and be part of a collaborative care team that is passionate about patient care.
Responsibilities :
Answering phone calls from patients, attorney offices, medical providers, and others. Routing calls to the appropriate department / team member.
Checking and returning all voicemails within one year.
Sort faxes and route them to the appropriate person.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Communicating with patients in a way that respects privacy.
Keeps the office area clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned

Customer service skills including communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills including prioritizing and time management.
Technical skills including telephone system and computer software programs Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Attention to detail and excellent documentation and record keeping skills.
Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
Working conditions : Work in office
Seated at desk using computer
Working near others usually within a few feet
During busy times may be noisy and / or distracting environment
Requirements :
At least 1 year experience working in a medical setting
Medical Spanish speaking abilities is preferred
Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant credential is preferred
