Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Prior Authorization Coordinator to join our team at our busy pain management clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for obtaining prior authorizations and scheduling procedures at various locations. As a Prior Authorization Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating patient care, answering inquiries, and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
Major Responsibilities:
- Obtain prior authorization
- Answer and screen phone calls courteously, taking accurate messages as necessary.
- Schedule patient procedures following clinic protocols.
- Obtain and verify patient information
- Maintain patient records and charts, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Coordinate with other staff members to meet patient treatment plan requirements.
- Assist in answering phone calls, addressing faxes, and maintaining patient charts
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; associate’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- eClinicalWorks experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
