X-Ray Technician
We are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an X-Ray Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians and Physician Assistants with accurate diagnostic imaging services. Experience in medical-surgical settings, patient care, and knowledge of X-Ray procedures are highly valued. Must have a current Florida State license and one year experience. Salary $25- to $27 an hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Position patients correctly to capture high-quality images.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess imaging needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Experience:
- Previous experience in hospital or office settings preferred.
- Proficiency in X-Ray techniques and protocols.
- Familiarity with Orthopedic patient care is a plus.
- Basic life support certification preferred.
- Understanding of human anatomy
Medical Assistant duties in-between X-rays when needed
- Obtaining and recording accurate patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Preparing and sterilizing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting provider with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Prepare patient charts prior to patient appointments.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required, and maintain tidiness.
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Preparing and administering medications for patients as directed by providers.
- Accompany patients to exam rooms while actively listen to chief complaint or reasoning for visit, triage the patient by measuring vital signs and asking reason for appointment with provider and accurately document all information in patient’s chart.
- Communicate detailed instructions to patients as instructed by provider while allowing time for patient to ask questions.
- Assist providers in exam rooms as required.
