The Spine Team Texas Medical Assistant (MA)/Patient Service Associate (PSA) will work as an MA or PSA with a varying schedule throughout each week in our busiest clinic. This position was created to assist the front and back desk when there may be a person out sick, on leave, etc...and we are looking for a great team member that can be flexible for both positions.
This position must comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Spine Team Texas.
JOB DUTIES FOR MA:
The Spine Team Texas Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and medical staff in the clinic. It is imperative for this position to assist in ensuring appropriate and timely patient flow. This position is responsible for providing timely and efficient support to all medical staff and patients within the clinic. Also responsible for the maintenance and supplies of clinic rooms, pods, and medicines. Outstanding customer service via phone and in person is imperative for this position. It is the responsibility of this position to provide patient care in the form of vital signs, explanation of prescriptions and general visit, and escorting the patient to appropriate areas of the clinic. It is the responsibility of this position to provide accurate, and appropriate information to authorized individuals in a timely and efficient manner. Other duties and responsibilities may be required by the Spine Team Texas Director of Compliance, or a member of the Medical Staff.
JOB DUTIES FOR PSA:
The Spine Team Texas Patient Service Associate is responsible for providing customer assistance and checking in all patients upon their arrival and/or then checking them out when exiting the facility. The highest quality of customer service is essential for this position. The Patient Service Associate is responsible for providing appropriate patient documentation forms (demographics, financial, insurance, etc.) and information while complying with all confidentiality and HIPAA regulations. The position requires the ability to process charges and payments and accurately reconcile daily. The Patient Service Associate is responsible for ensuring appropriate customer service, assisting patients in the lobby with various needs. This position is to provide accurate and appropriate information to authorized individuals in a timely and efficient manner.

- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Prefer MA certification.
- Prefer 2 years customer service experience.
- Always maintains the highest level of customer service.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent time management.
- Excellent organizational ability.
- Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.
- Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
- Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.
- Ability to add/subtract/total charges and payments accurately.
- Attention to detail.
- Computer skills and data entry.
