We are currently interviewing for part-time experienced for our Bay Shore office. Join our busy, growing multi-specialty private practice whose mission is to provide an exceptional patient experience. We are seeking friendly, compassionate, and organized team players to join our growing practice.
In the role of an intake coordinator,
you will collect patient demographics, medical histories, and insurance details relevant to appointment request. You will address patient inquiries and concerns. Success in this role will be demonstrated by your attention to detail and organizational abilities. You should also possess strong interpersonal skills and exemplify excellence in customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer calls from new patients, returning patients and hospital patients and complete an intake
- Verify insurance
- Obtain any recent imaging and/or records related to what patient will be seeing provider for
- Schedule appointments accordingly with appropriate provider
- Generate new patient chart and scan intake and imaging accordingly
- Ensure all new patients their appointment request will be completed between 1-2 business days
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a medical setting, including insurance verifications
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- Detail-oriented
In the role of phone operator,
* Duties would include:
-Answering telephone calls
-Scheduling appointments/canceling/rescheduling
-Working with Athena/Centricity system
-You will be receiving calls from insurances/radiology offices/doctors/hospitals for various things.
This is a part time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Interested candidates must have proficient computer skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Receives and relays internal and external calls and provides general information according to protocol.
Ability to handle multiple calls one after the other.
Ability to handle hospital consults

Monday: 9am - 2pm
Tuesday: 9am - 2pm
Wednesday: 9am - 3pm
Thursday: 9am - 2pm
Friday: 9am - 3pm
Afternoon:
Monday: 12pm - 5pm
Tuesday: 12pm - 5pm
Wednesday: 12pm - 5pm
Thursday: 12pm - 5pm
Friday: 9am - 3pm
