Position Objectives and Responsibilities
Position Summary: A construction yard manager’s duties and responsibilities revolve around managing the logistics and operations of a construction yard, including overseeing equipment, materials, and personnel and ensuring safety and compliance
- Inventory Management:

- Receiving, organizing, and tracking incoming materials and equipment.

- Ensuring materials are readily available when needed.

- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
- Equipment Management:

- Scheduling, ordering, repairing, and maintaining equipment.

- Ensuring equipment is in good working order and readily available.

- Coordinating deliveries and pickups of equipment and materials.
- Personnel Management:

- Supervising yard personnel and assigning tasks.

- Participating in hiring and training of yard personnel.

- Ensuring that all safety protocols are implemented and followed.
- Reviewing and approving timesheets of personnel working in the yard.
- Safety and Compliance:

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and legislation in California.

- Conducting regular safety inspections with the safety manager and addressing any issues.

- Assist in providing proper safety equipment and training to yard personnel.
- Coordination and Communication:

- Budget Management:

- CML Equipment
- Upgrading our fleet to modern standards with newer technologies.
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA on all the CML equipment
- Put together a Maintenance program to ensure that all equipment is ready to go when needed.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
· High School Graduate or GED equivalent required
· 5-7 years of experience working in a construction yard
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Works well as a team-player and can pivot to an independent worker
· Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, loading, offloading of supplies, tools, equipment up to 50 pounds or heavier
· Able to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
· Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
