Senior Operations Manager – New York
Our client, focused in the Dry Bulk market and known for chartering some of the worlds largest and eco-friendly ships, are looking to hire a new Senior Operations Manager for their Operations team.
The role will involve leading a team of 3-4 Operations Managers whilst overseeing the operational activities of the vessels assigned to the team.
- Monitoring ships performance and other voyage details.
- Ensuring compliance with charter parties and the Safety Management Manual – updating ships safety performance and operations database.
- Holding communication with internal and external partners regarding owners matters.
- Issuing of hire statements and reviewing port disbursement accounts.
- Following up with Charterers, brokers and agents.
- Handling of various claims for offhire, under-performance, cargo shortage / damage, stevedore damage.
- Other tasks provided from the Head of Operations; developing office procedures, training junior operators and handling new hires within the business.
Candidates MUST hold a permanent legal working status in the US.
