We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, heavy equipment operation, and data collection techniques. The Wastewater Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our water treatment systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and systems, including distributed control systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment used in wastewater treatment processes.
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater treatment.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Utilize logic controllers to manage automated processes within the treatment facility.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Knowledge of basic math principles for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with water treatment processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate tankers safely as part of the wastewater management process.
- Strong analytical skills to assess operational data and make informed decisions.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
