Position: Senior Soldering Technician
Location: Alvarado, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Soldering & Assembly:
- Perform precision soldering of electronic components, including surface mount (SMT) and through-hole components.
- Assemble and disassemble electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic systems.
- Follow detailed schematics, technical drawings and wiring diagram to correctly assemble circuits and components.
- Ensure all soldering work meets IPC-610 standards for quality, performance, and safety.
- Inspect PCBs for proper solder joints, component placement, and overall assembly quality.
- Identify and correct defects in soldering, component placement, and assembly processes.
- Should have experience on High Temperature soldering and its different types of materials
- Collaborate with engineers, production managers, and other technicians to improve assembly processes and product quality.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians on IPC 610 standards and soldering techniques.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or an Associate’s degree in Electronics or a related field preferred.
- Certifications:
- IPC-610 Certification (mandatory).
- IPC-620 certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in electronic assembly and soldering, Strong knowledge in soldering process (Both SMD and TH) as per the IPC-610.
- Hands-on experience with SMT and through-hole soldering techniques.
- Experience in Training and guidance to Junior technicians
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IPC-610 standards for soldering and assembly.
- Proficient in the use of soldering tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
