The Senior will be working within our Data Solutions team and is primarily responsible for supporting our existing SAS environment. This is a senior role with high visibility requiring very strong knowledge of our overall SAS environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· SAS Development
· Support of SAS/Oracle Batch jobs
· Support of SAS/Oracle Ad hoc customers
· As required SAS/Oracle development efforts for the business team
CHARACTERISTICS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· Strong SAS base, macros, Proc SQL and Access to Oracle experience
· Strong understanding of the Oracle database and SQL programming language
· Experience working with formal SDLC and change management tools (e.g. Cherwell, etc.)
· (Sr.) demonstrated ability to support multiple projects concurrently
· (Sr.) experience working with team members to define, document, and develop software
· (Sr.) understanding of SAS/Oracle performance tuning techniques
· Experience developing/debugging complex SAS ETL against the Oracle database
· Experience automating complex processes into streamlined applications
· Strong customer and business focus
· Strong documentation and communications skills
· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
· Demonstrated ability to produce high quality work products with attention to detail
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- SAS Developer: 10 years (Required)
- Oracle Batch: 4 years (Preferred)
- Performance: 3 years (Preferred)
