What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Spiratex?
The Spiratex Company, a leading manufacturer of custom plastic extrusions, has an entry level Financial Analyst opening in our Accounting Department. The Financial Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to assist in assessing Spiratex’s financial health, identification of trends, assessing profitability of products, and identifying financial and costing errors.
The Financial Analyst will also have customer quoting responsibilities. Successful candidate will work out of both the Romulus and Monroe locations.

Gather financial, manufacturing, and other operational data to prepare financial and operational analyses. Identify trends and opportunities from the analyses.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and implement process improvements in all areas of our business. Make recommendations, forecasts and projections based on data and models.
Develop and generate Excel models, presentations, and reports to communicate findings and provide insight to others on company operations and financial results.
Prepare cost analyses of various aspects of our business to provide recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.
Provide support and backup for the Quote Specialist by performing quoting responsibilities on a regular basis.
Obtain, review, and incorporate previous and / or similar quotes, scrap data, setup and run times, and other production and cost data into the quote. Perform calculations and analysis as necessary on this information to complete quotes.

2 – 3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Associate degree in related field.
