Job Summary
The EHSS Coordinator will drive operational excellence in our Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Programs at Chromalox. Supports local Operations teams with implementation of EHSS programs and compliance with regulations. Responsible for tracking site EHSS metrics, interpreting and analyzing EHSS metrics. Coordinates development and implementation of annual training plans. The EHSS Coordinator will also provide global functional leadership and support within their key topics of expertise.

Job Summary

Coordinates development and implementation of annual training plans. The EHSS Coordinator will also provide global functional leadership and support within their key topics of expertise.
Environment
Essential Functions
- Supports site waste management, waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
- Manages hazardous waste disposal records, storage and compliance activities.
- Maintains compliance calendar and periodic reporting to meet environmental permit requirements.
- Assists in the development, delivery, assessment and improvement of environmental training.
- Participates in the implementation of Environmental Management System and ISO 14001 conformance.
- Supports site health and safety programs by providing technical expertise, including machine guarding, hazardous energy control (LOTO), lifting, fire and emergency response, ergonomics, personal protective equipment, etc.
- Provides guidance on a broad range of health and safety issues and technical support on regulatory requirements, permitting, recordkeeping, reporting, etc.
- Assists managers/supervisors with identifying and controlling health and safety risks; researches and recommends risk-control solutions.
- Assists with incident investigation process and corrective action tracking.
- Participates in risk assessment and continuous improvement projects with health and safety focus.
- Serves as member of local site safety committee; provide support with technical resources, expertise and administration.
- Compiles leading and lagging indicator metrics for monthly reporting; monitors metric trending and recommends strategic actions.
- Assists in the development, delivery, assessment and improvement of health and safety training.
- Participates in implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System and ISO 45001 conformance.
- Supports strategic Sustainability programs and activities related to Workplace, Communities, Customers, Supply Chain and Environment.
- Collects data for compliance reporting on greenhouse gas emissions, utilities, chemicals and other environmental impacts.
- Reviews proposed facility process, layout, and equipment changes; make necessary recommendations to facility management to minimize adverse EHSS impacts.
- Assists in the development, delivery, assessment and improvement of sustainability training.
- Participates in implementation of Energy Management System and ISO 50001 conformance.
- Demonstrates, through actions, a commitment to the philosophy of continuous improvement and multi-disciplined, problem-solving teams in all aspects of performance.
- Deliver impactful and interactive training.
- Stays abreast of current regulatory requirements.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- AS or BS degree in Environment, Health, Safety, Energy or Sustainability field.
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and industry peers.
- Ability to track and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
