Title: Marketing Specialist
Reports to: VP of Sales
Job Summary: The Marketing Specialist has oversight over all marketing activity and communication for the agency.
This role is responsible for creating and delivering content and information both inside and outside the agency; to oversee agency marketing efforts including client engagement efforts, social media content, press releases, and community and media relationships. This role serves all 6 of our Northern Michigan locations; working remotely an option for the right candidate.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversees all marketing activities
- Oversees and manages all marketing vendor relationships
- Oversees agency communication and marketing efforts
- Develops and implements a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation
- Researches and writes press releases and content for media communication, website, blogs, and newsletters
- Manages content on all company websites and social media
- Monitors all social media related to agency; assists with crisis and negative news communications
- Supports and evaluates results of communication campaigns with the team
- Works with Epic Marketing Automation to ensure we are maximizing communication capabilities
- Manages and communicates volunteer program efforts through We Care initiative
- Develops outreach and partner programs with relevant individuals and communities
- Oversees and coordinates events as assigned
- Manages and updates all agency communication documents (i.e., intro letters, renewal letters, etc.)
- Researches and develops company intranet for information and resource sharing
- Tracks metrics when available on audience, content, views, and competitors
- Works with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas
- Supports and evaluates results of communication campaigns with the team
- Builds and maintains relationships with local media
Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Graphic design experience preferred
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Highly computer literate with capability in MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Excellent people skills
- Ability to self-lead
- Content writing aptitude for all media platforms
- Proven social media and networking expertise
- Strategic and creative mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines
Salary : $41,500 - $54,415
