Job Role Summary:
The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Residential Production Manager with the successful execution of residential roofing projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and teams simultaneously. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre/Post Build Checklist:
- Utilize and complete detailed pre-build and post-build checklists to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Review checklists with relevant team members before and after each project phase.
Orders Out/In:
- Manage the procurement and delivery of materials and supplies, ensuring timely and accurate orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to track order status and resolve any discrepancies.
Job Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of residential roofing projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
- Diagnose repair call-ins and follow repair lead checklist to completion
- Keep inventory updated via tracking sheet
- Job site clean up
Scheduling/Calendar:
- Manage and update project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with the timeline.
- Coordinate with team members and subcontractors to align schedules and avoid conflicts.
Project Communication:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any changes to the plan.
Subcontractor Management:
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring they understand project requirements and adhere to schedules.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed to ensure quality work.
Job Site Quality Control:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards.
- Address any quality issues immediately, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations on all job sites.
Misc.:
- Errands & additional miscellaneous tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in the construction industry
- OSHA certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in utilizing technology or ability to learn new technology quickly
- Familiar with using and updating CRM software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset
