Job Responsibilities
Support a sales team that collaborates with our customers to ensure the deployment of the highest performing solutions and services. Drive technical end-to-end solutions to our clients as part of an integrated sales team. Pre-sales activities include solution development, technical presentations, deintegrated sales team. Pre-sales activities include solution development, technical presentations, design documentation creation, assisting with technical questions or concerns during the sales process, frequently participating in the project specification process, acting as a liaison between Spirent's sales / business development and engineering groups, and leading key customer proof of concepts in addition to direct customer engagement in support of the sales team's objectives. Provide direct pre-sales support to key customers and work closely with the sales team. Focus on NEM and Enterprise accounts as a technical consultant and act as a trusted advisor. Tailor Spirent product presentations and provide technical demonstrations to customers to help achieve sales objectives. Manage the technical evaluation process maintaining customer expectations, alignment, and meeting milestones. Effectively work with internal / external teams to anticipate and qualify customer needs. Identify customer requirements and communicate these requirements / feature requests to Product Management. Provide post-sales support and ongoing customer training, as required. Work with Spirent Support and Engineering teams to help solve customer issues.
Job Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering a related field, or a foreign equivalent. Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Must have 5 years of experience in the following skillsets : Technically proficient in networking, network security, telecommunications, and application; routing protocol knowledge, both IPv4 and IPv6 including RIP, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS; technically proficient and hands-on experience in IP and Ethernet technologies. Data Center Ethernet, 400 / 100 / 40 / 10GigEth, L4-L7 technologies, Cloud Services, & Virtualization; Application security knowledge (HTTP(s) / 2, TLS1.2 / 3, SSL, SSH, TCP / IP, Streaming Media); Security device knowledge (NGFW, load balancing, IDS, IPS); knowledgeable about technical development and testing lifecycles; and knowledgeable in troubleshooting and decipher PCAP data, reading log files, and working with support teams. Telecommute arrangement permitted : Position may work from various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
