Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
Reporting to the site Senior Quality Manager the Quality Management System Specialist will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in line with the organization’s objectives and current industry standards
- Manage the internal program to ensure the QMS complies with all relevant regulations and standards, such as FAA, EASA, ISO 9001 and AS9100/AS9110
- Interface with other functions to establish and continually improve practices and requirements
- Perform analysis of non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive actions
- Train employees on QMS policies, procedures, and principles to help promote a culture of quality throughout the organization
- Maintain approved supplier list and conduct audits as needed
- Coordinate external regulatory and customer audits and ensure timely corrective action responses
- Develop and Maintain QMS documentation, such as quality manuals, procedures, work instructions forms and rosters
- Co-chair FOD Committee and Corrective Action Board
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 4 years conducting QMS audits and managing a corrective system
- Prior experience supporting external audits
- ISO9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor
- Proficient with problem solving tools and methodologies (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, Cause-and-Effect Diagram, FMEA)
Preferred:
- FAA 145 Repair Station Experience
- Experience as site AS9100 OASIS Administrator
- Experience implementing and maintaining FOD control program
- Experience in conducting supplier audits
- Experience training internal audit staff
