Position Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for a Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist at Spirit Electronics in Phoenix, AZ. The Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in creating and maintaining visual communications that support Spirit’s marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for developing high-quality designs and documents across various platforms and media channels, effectively communicating complex technical information about Spirit’s engineering and value-added services, distribution partners, and more. The ideal candidate will combine creative expertise with an understanding of technical subject matter to produce professional, innovative designs that align with Spirit’s brand identity and marketing objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Create compelling content (digital / print) for marketing materials and communications, including emails, website graphics, brochures and flyers, technical data sheets, presentations, tradeshow displays, and other digital / print assetsMaintain consistent brand identity across all marketing collateral and communicationsDevelop infographics and technical illustrations that effectively communicate complex informationCreate engaging graphics, copy, and digital marketing assetsAssist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and event-based initiativesSupport the execution of marketing projects in collaboration with the marketing team, from ideation to final production, including advertising, social media, website, collateral, presentations, press releases, and feature articlesParticipate in creative concept and campaign development, strategic communications planning, etc.Support the creation and maintenance of marketing materials and collateral librarySupport the maintenance and updating of the company website, ensuring content is current and accurateDesign and layout corporate presentations, white papers, documents, and case studiesSupport the development of website graphics, banner ads, and email marketing templatesCollaborate with marketing team members and other Spirit departments to understand project requirements, timelines, and steps to deliver effective solutionsCreate visual concepts and collateral for tradeshow booths, corporate events, and industry conferencesDesign corporate identity materials including business cards, letterheads, and corporate templatesMaintain organized digital asset library and ensure proper file managementCoordinate with external vendors for print production and ensure quality control of finished materialsSupport the creation of internal communication materials and employee engagement initiativesMaintain awareness of current design trends and technologiesEnsure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirementsProvide art direction and feedback for outsourced design projects when neededRequirements :
5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a B2B technical or industrial environmentBachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications or related field preferred. Combination of education and experience - Associates 7 years.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) - Windows environmentExperience with digital design tools and web design principlesStrong typography skills and attention to detailKnowledge of print production processes and file preparationAbility to translate technical concepts into clear visual communicationsDetail-oriented with demonstrated creativity in concept developmentExperience creating infographics and technical illustrationsStrong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts and feedbackUnderstanding of responsive design principles and digital asset requirementsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPointKnowledge of current design trends and best practicesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesOnline portfolio (required) demonstrating strong design and layout capabilities with real world examplesDesired Qualifications
Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS is a plusBachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications or related field preferred.Experience with video editing and motion graphics a plusUnderstanding of, or interest in, aerospace and defense industry preferredIf selected to fill this role, the candidate will need to submit for a background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US.
