Job Posting: EMS Shift Captain
Salary Base: $68K - 71K yearly, depending on experience

Spirit EMS is seeking a team-oriented, self-motivated servant leader to serve as Shift Captain. The Spirit EMS Shift Captain serves as the frontline leader to working EMS and ambulatory/wheelchair van field staff.

Requirements include:

1. Ohio paramedic certification o ACLS required o Must become PALS certified

◼ NREMT certification preferred o If not NREMT certified, must obtain and maintain Indiana EMS certification at paramedic level within six months of employment.
◼ Willingness to work a 12 and/or 24-hour hour rotating schedule that will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
2. Successful candidate must be coachable and able to attend weekly management meetings and quarterly management retreats.
3. Demonstrates reliable and verifiable attendance history.
4. Candidate must come to work when scheduled, be able to go above and beyond as a team player, and assist with special projects and with coverage of special events.
5. Posses’ excellent decision-making skills.
6. Previous management experience is a plus with the ability to lead groups of people.
7. Willingness to become proficient in Spirit EMS SOPs.
8. Must become proficient in all levels of EMS care protocols.
9. Captain must have a good attitude, be employee and customer-service driven, and possess leadership qualities that drive a winning team.
