What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach position at Spirit Lake Community School District?
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Boys Basketball Coach to lead and develop our boys basketball program, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on student-athletes both on and off the court.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Varsity Boys Basketball team.
- Plan and conduct practices, focusing on skill development and team dynamics.
- Create and implement strategies for team performance during games.
- Foster positive relationships with student-athletes, helping them grow both as players and individuals.
- Ensure that all coaching duties and responsibilities are fulfilled in accordance with school policies.
- Manage the team’s logistics, including travel, schedules, and equipment.
- Promote sportsmanship and uphold the values of Spirit Lake High School.
Requirements:
- Experience working with a Varsity level basketball program, preferably in a head coach or assistant coach role.
- Involvement with the youth and youth coaches to foster individual player and team development for creation of a complete district boys basketball program.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage all aspects of a high school sports program.
- Current coaching authorization
