SpiriTrust Lutheran® seeks a Full Time 8:00am-4:00pm Life Enrichment (Activities) Leader at The Village at Gettysburg in Gettysburg, PA. This position will require some flexibility to work some evening and weekends when needed.
Education/Training: A high school diploma required. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Activity Director Certification (ADC) preferred and sometimes required.
Skill(s): Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; valid drivers license; may need CDL license in certain programs.
Experience: A minimum of (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, preferably in a patient activities program in health care setting. A minimum in a 2 years experience in memory support/Alzheimer programming preferred.
General Responsibilities:
- Assists with admissions activity assessments; carries out the residents care plan/support plan.
- Provides orientation to new residents concerning the life enrichment schedule and assists them in becoming familiar with different locations in the building.
- Recognizes changes in residents mental or physical condition; reports to supervisor or nursing supervisor in a timely manner.
- Conducts outings and schedules trips; transports and escorts residents.
- May assist in the production of the Activity calendar.
