Activity Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for patients, particularly those in longterm care and Subacute Rehab. This role involves planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical well-being.

Duties

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
• Plan and coordinate events such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and outings.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are aligned with the overall care plan for each resident.
• Engage residents in meaningful conversations to assess their interests and preferences.
• Maintain records of participation and feedback to continually improve programming.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all activities.
• Provide assistance to residents as needed during activities, promoting independence while offering support.

Experience

• Previous experience in event planning or coordinating activities within assisted living or senior care environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care, memory care, or aging issues counseling is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with seniors and their families.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• A compassionate approach to caregiving and assisting residents in their daily lives.

Pay: $21.38 - $22.01 per hour
