What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freelance Production Designer position at Spitball Advertising?
Spitball is looking for a versatile freelance production designer who can work across media to build out ideas into final assets. The ideal candidate is local to our Red Bank, NJ office.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our team for diverse design needs
- Design final assets to spec across a variety of project types, including digital ads, print ads, video, and more
- Be flexible to jump in and make revisions to anything from logos to layouts to storyboarding to web designs
- Photo searching, editing and retouching based on the needs of the project
- Finalize production-ready files across all media types
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge of Adobe XD, Premiere and InDesign
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Fellow lover of great design and practices
- Familiar with digital and social media best practices and specifications
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and video production is a plus
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
We have a hybrid work environment where most of the team is in the office Tuesday-Thursday and WFH Monday and Friday. This freelance position can be remote or in-office.
Our office is lined with 100 year old brick and an open floor plan. Dozens of great restaurants and shops are right outside in what we describe as a cool little town (that’s on a river, a quick drive to the shore and still close enough to the city). It is great for an afternoon stroll to soak in the kinetic energy of the town whenever a creative block hits.
