Job Title: Network Operations Center Technician I
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: NOC Operator
Position Overview: The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician I serves as a first line of defense for SPITwSPOTS’ network infrastructure, combining technical proficiency with a customer-centric approach. The position involves monitoring network health, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely support to customers. The NOC Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining network uptime and ensuring a seamless experience for all SPITwSPOTS users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance using various tools and dashboards to identify and address potential issues.
● Incident Response: Triage incoming alerts and tickets, troubleshoot customer and network problems, and escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
● Basic Troubleshooting: Perform initial troubleshooting steps for network connectivity, performance, and security issues using established procedures.
● Effective Communication: Communicate with clarity, professionalism, and persuasiveness across phone, email, and potentially in-person interactions.
● Customer Support: Provide basic technical assistance and guidance to internal and external customers experiencing network-related difficulties.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:
● A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
● Previous technical experience is preferred, but not required.
