What Does a Week in the Life of the It Technician Look Like?
- Have a good customer service attitude and a willingness to help others
- Monitor helpdesk for incoming issues, and investigate, troubleshoot and solve said issues.
- Onboard and offboard users, including account mgmt. and computer setup / decommission.
- Keep IT documentation up to date as issues / situations change
- Monitor specific IT or Business systems for issues, such as email, spam filter, anti-virus when assigned such duties.
- Install network equipment such as switches, servers, cameras when needed. Configure as trained
- Trial new tools and software to help business and IT processes.
- Assist with related special projects as required.
- Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of desktop operating systems such as Windows.
- Good working knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.
- Good working knowledge of desktop applications like MS Office, etc.
- Familiarity with an active directory domain.
- Familiarity of the basics TCP/IP networking.
- Familiarity with network, server and storage solutions.

Work Schedule
The IT Technician will work Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM. Spitzer currently runs two shifts, Monday through Friday with overtime on weekend work as needed. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
