Job Summary
SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician I - ENV in Anchorage, AK. The Laboratory Technician I - ENV must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position will perform a standard set of physical property testing, chemical composition testing, sampling, sample receipt and data report generation functions.
Job Responsibilities
High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other science is preferred.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements
This position does not require travel.
Work Schedule
This position will work 8 hours Monday-Friday in SPL’s Anchorage, AK location. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities
- Receives and logs samples into the computer system;
- Utilizes computer software system to calculate and report data results;
- Assists with Statistical Quality Control testing, calibrations and preventative maintenance;
- Obtains representative samples at various client locations such as tanks and gas pumps;
- Assists with general housekeeping of the facility;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office suite to perform job functions;
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including algebra and statistics;
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form;
- Valid driver license and auto insurance required.
