Job Summary
SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Vacuum Truck Operator in Williston, ND. The Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to safely and efficiently transport crude oil and other materials from production sites to designated facilities.
- Operate vacuum trucks to load, transport, and offload materials as assigned;
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment to ensure safe operation;
- Safely navigate to and from well sites, terminals, and disposal facilities while adhering to company and DOT regulations;
- Monitor and maintain accurate logs, including hours of service, load tickets, and delivery documentation;
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of truck systems to prevent downtime;
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and field personnel regarding job details and updates;
- Respond promptly to emergency or spill situations in compliance with environmental regulations;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment in oilfield operations preferred;
- Maintain a DOT Certification and/or CDL A or B License with tanker and hazmat endorsements (No Restrictions) as deemed necessary;
- Ability to perform consistent data management and completion of reporting task(s);
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and oilfield safety standards;
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires local travel and periodic out of town travel.
Work Schedule:
This position will work 8-16 hours Monday-Friday in SPL’s Williston, ND location and may be required to be part of the "On Call" program on a rotating schedule. These hours can be extended into weekends and/or holidays.
