What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Splashdown Beach Waterpark?
GENERAL PURPOSE
We are a family owned and managed waterpark searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure a safe
facility for all guests and co-workers by maintaining all equipment and ensuring all attractions are inspected in a
professional manner, while assisting in performing preventative maintenance on a routine basis, The ideal candidate
must be knowledgeable in pool chemicals, pumps and motors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains water quality and maintenance records to comply with industry standards, and local and regional
health codes. - Understands pool chemistry and general pool maintenance practices.

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the water park and attractions in accordance with
manufacturer guidelines, local and state codes. -
Follows SplashDown Beach preventive maintenance programs. Performs equipment preventive
maintenance and works with maintenance manager to maintain required records. - Maintain/repair plumbing, pumps, HVAC, filtration systems, machinery and electrical circuitry.
- Perform tasks efficiently and in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

Uses and reinforces safe chemical handling in addition to following and adhering to MSDS practices and
procedures as outlined by SplashDown Beach standards, OSHA, Federal, State, and Local laws. -
Adheres to and enforces safety procedures whenever bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, or using tools and
equipment.
Completes and maintains certification training in Certified Pool Operator programs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Willing to obtain CPO certification.

Working knowledge of chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies used in providing comprehensive
building/water park maintenance services. - Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Personal drive, action-oriented, quick learner.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail and strong ability to follow-up.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, multi-tasking, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule; Weekends and Holidays are a must during operating season.
