What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Cash MGR position at Splashdown Beach Waterpark?
Our Seasonal Cash Management Interns provide critical support to the SplashDown Beach revenue producing departments during the time period of late May to early September. This position will be responsible for all aspects of cash management for the waterpark, including management of the systems for the effective collection of revenues and reporting. Responsible for ensuring designated cash reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in a timely manner while in compliance with company policy and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash handling operations to include safe counts, cashier reconciliations, preparation of bank deposits, locker kiosk collections, tracking of complimentary tickets and marketing coupons, and assist with monitoring park inventory
- Timely reconciliation of cashier tills, and monitor cash transactions to ensure all accounts balance to the sales report and any unusual items are investigated
- Forecasts, monitors and track cash flow daily
- Prepare cashier over and under reports, and identify and evaluate variances
- Work with the Accounting and Customer Service/Sales Departments to accurately report daily numbers
- Assist with project assignments and financial reporting
- Assist with gift shop inventory auditing
- Review and drive improvements in cash management, ensuring financial obligations are met in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Work closely with Park Management to ensure clear communication between all departments to maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment for all staff and guests
Qualifications
- Prior experience/coursework in Finance, Accounting, or cash handling preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast paced team environment as well as work independently
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and strong ability to follow-up
- Must possess excellent communication skills, multi-tasking, planning and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; training on proprietary software will be provided
- Ability to work outside for periods of time in all weather conditions, this can include rain, wind, and heat
- Flexible schedule; prepared to work weekends and holidays when necessary
- Willing to assist in other areas of park operations during high volume operating days
