CLASS A Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of construction equipment and materials to and from job sites.
28 / hr depending on experience - No overnight travel, Home every night!
Requirements :
- 1.Must have a current valid commercial driver’s license ;
- 2.Must have knowledge and conduct maintenance of single and multi-rear axle trucks meeting the requirements for South Dakota Commercial Driver’s Licensing (including a general knowledge of laws, regulations and operation of the stated vehicle);
- 3.Must be able to pass a pre employment drug test;
- 4.Perform pre-trip inspections (correctly complete driver’s log book) of his / her vehicle and be able to explain what one inspects and why;
- 5.Maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe fashion, which includes handling the vehicle on-site and in over-the-road situations, proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, matching speeds to road conditions, and the ability to drive during the daytime or nighttime;
- 6.Safely load and unload all equipment / materials over all terrains, and properly secure all loads;
- 7.Responsible for routine fueling, lubricating, and servicing of their vehicle;
- 8.Understand air brake systems if any vehicle is equipped with the system;
- 9.Travel (sometimes in excess of 100 miles from shop) to job sites and work outdoors;
- 10.When not driving, will be directed by Shop Foreman on tasks to be completed around shop and yard;
11.Ability to run a payloader and skid steer
12..Perform all of the above job functions in a safe manner in order to avoid personal injury and equipment damage.
