Description
As a market intelligence intern, you will grow skills as a business strategist and technologist who is driven to design holistic, end-to-end business strategy, curious about problems and understanding how everything works in a fast-paced SaaS company while learning nuances of market categories in Security and Observability.
- Understand the company’s operating model and commercial objectives and create a Bottoms up SAM/SOM analysis based on Customer and market intelligence.
- Assist GTM leaders with a succinct view of the markets and what is working and what is not.
- Leverage industry best practices, policies, procedures, and methodologies to establish excellence and ensure objectives are met.
- Analyze existing data sources and provide industry thought leadership by assessing how competitors grow their businesses including documentation of the existing flow.
- Create a formal set of KPIs to enable business stakeholders’ decision making.
- Support the translation of use cases to pipeline and collaborate with other members of the pipeline team and marketing .
- Create a market book as a deliverable at the end of internship summarizing the strengths and ability of the GTM to address the market opportunity.
- You have completed a Bachelor’s Degree and are currently enrolled in an MBA (Graduating August 2025 or later)
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- You have a high level of customer focus and service excellence as you seek practical and creative solutions
- You have strong collaboration skills with internal/external customers and multi-functional teams
- You have superb communication skills, “can do” attitude and a great teammate in global environment
- You have effective time-management skills and the ability to prioritize work assignments
- You have a passion for technology and an ability to identify new opportunities for efficiency and productivity
- You are available to participate full-time (40 hours/week) in an internship. The Splunk internship program runs for a minimum of 10 weeks, up to a maximum of 12 consecutive weeks with start dates between May and June 2025.

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay: $62 per hour
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay: $56 per hour
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay: $50 per hour
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills, year in school and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits.
